Set in Lost Creek, a fictitious town in the Texas Hill Country, a member of the McKade family has been the county sheriff and/or a deputy for the last 125 years. The series features four McKade siblings along with their grandparents, Jed and Betty McKade, and parents, Walt and Winnie McKade. In addition to law enforcement duties, they also own a working dude ranch. Walt is the soon to retire sheriff, and his children are all law enforcement professionals.
